Manuel Alejandro Cardenete is deputy minister for tourism, regeneration, justice and local administration at the regional government of Andalusia.
He is a professor of economics at Universidad Loyola Andalucía, on leave, and vice-rector of postgraduate studies and director of Loyola Leadership School.
He is president of the Andalusian Regional Science Association and vice-president of Sociedad Hispanoamericana Input-Output. He is also an academic at Academía Andaluza de Ciencia Regional. His research lines are input-output models, SAM models and computable general equilibrium models at regional and national level, using GAMS, PyIO, SIMSIPSAM and GTAP software.
He is principal researcher of CLIMAMODEL SEJ-511, distinguished research professor at HISPAREAL (Hispalis Regional Economics Applications Laboratory), and associate researcher of CISE-Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila.
